About Me
Howdy! My name is Auggie, and I am so glad you are here today! Deciding to pursue therapy can be tough, so I want to say thank you for taking that important first step.
I’m a therapist who believes that meaningful change begins with honesty, respect, and reliability. My approach is direct and compassionate. I’ll always tell you the truth, even when it’s hard to hear, because I believe you deserve clarity and real support. Respect is at the core of my work. I honor your experiences, your boundaries, and your pace as we navigate challenges together.
While I work with a variety of clients, I have a special interest in supporting couples and first responders. I work with couples who are at any stage in their relationship, and enjoy helping them through the unique challenges they may face with honesty and compassion. As a PREPARE/ENRICH Pre-marital Therapy Facilitator, I have the opportunity to set up couples for success before they even walk down the aisle, which I think is so cool!
I also have a special place in my heart for military personnel and first responders. As a First Responder Treatment Provider (FRTP), I know the unique demands, stressors and realities of first responders and am ready to approach therapy with that mindset. Due to my own personal experiences, I also know the daily challenges that they and their families face, and can provide a unique understanding that not all therapists recognize.
My goal is simple: to help you better understand yourself, overcome what’s holding you back, and move forward with confidence. If you’re ready for honest conversations and meaningful progress, and lasting change, I’m here to help.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long have you been practicing?
I have been practicing for a little over two years, including my practicums and internship in graduate school.
What licenses do you have?
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) supervised by Dr. Bryan Duncan, PhD, LPC-S, NCC.
Do you work with LGBTQ+ clients?
Yes! I work with LGBTQ+ individuals.
Do you provide religious/Christian based therapy?
Although I am not specialized in religious/Christian therapy, I am always happy to include every client’s religion and spirituality into therapy as the client sees fit.
Why did you become a therapist?
I became a therapist for a lot of reasons! Growing up, many of my friends, family, and even teachers said I would be a great therapist one day, and that idea kind of just stuck! I truly enjoy listening to people and helping them figure out how to navigate problems in their life. I also grew up in a small town, where mental health resources were basically nonexistent, and I liked the idea of being able to help my local community.
After high school, I went on to pursue my BS in Psychology from Texas A&M, where I had many amazing opportunities to learn about the importance of mental health. At the very end of my time at A&M, the pandemic hit, and I saw the huge need for therapists for not only in my small corner of life, but across the country, and I wanted to help where I could. I then went on to pursue my MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Tarleton State University where I gained hands on experience with the counseling profession.
During my internship, I was able to work with a variety of clients and gain insight into different types of therapy and different populations. While I believe that counseling is an ever evolving field and you must be a perpetual learner, I gained experience in providing solution focused and CBT therapies.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I enjoy working with a variety of clients, but I am most excited to work with couples, military personnel and first responders. I have a passion for working with couples at any stage in their relationship and helping them through the unique challenges they may face with honesty and compassion. I am also a certified PREPARE/ENRICH Pre-marital Therapy Facilitator, so I have the opportunity to set up couples for success before they even walk down the aisle! In addition to couples, I have a special place in my heart for
military personnel and first responders. I am a certified First Responder Treatment Provider (FRTP), so I am aware of the unique demands and approaches required to work with first responders. Due to my own personal experiences, I also know the daily challenges that they and their families face, so I can provide a unique understanding that not all therapists recognize.
What will our first session look like?
Our first session will be about building trust and a connection together while establishing what you are looking to accomplish in therapy. I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have about therapy and to make sure we are a good fit together.
How should I prepare for our first session?
Our first session will be about getting to know each other and figuring out what your goals for therapy are. Meeting with a therapist for the first time can be stressful, so feel free to prepare questions or have specific things you may want me to know about you. If you simply want to show up and we take it from there, that’s fine too!
What will regular therapy sessions look like?
Therapy sessions will look different for each client based on what their therapy goals are. Sessions are largely driven by the client and what they want to discuss or work on in that particular session. I believe that clients are the experts on their own lives and I am here to meet you where you are at and we can go from there.
How long does your average client work with you for?
Time in therapy will vary on the needs and goals of the client. Time can range from a few months to a year.
Will you give me homework in between sessions?
Believe it or not, some clients benefit from homework! If homework is given, it is not meant to be stressful and its goal is to help clients practice skills and self-care at home, outside of session.
What are some things I should know about working with you?
I’m a therapist who values honesty, respect, and reliability. I ask that my clients do the same. My approach is solution focused and compassionate. I’ll always tell you the truth, even when it’s hard to hear, because I believe you deserve clarity and real support. I think everyone can benefit from therapy, whether your goals may be big or small. My goal is simple: to help you understand yourself more deeply, overcome what’s holding you
back, and move forward with confidence. If you’re ready for solution oriented conversations and meaningful progress, I’m here to help.
We look forward to hearing from you!
