About Me
Hi! I'm Madison, a graduate student supervised by Taylor Conable LMFT-S in the Master of Marriage and Family Therapy program with a concentration in Military Family Therapy at Abilene Christian University. I'll be graduating in December 2027, and I'm excited to begin my journey as a therapist by supporting individuals, couples, and families as they work toward healthier, more fulfilling lives.
I've always been drawn to helping others through difficult moments. My experience working on the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and in case management has shown me the incredible resilience people have, even during life's hardest seasons. Those experiences deepened my passion for walking alongside others with empathy, compassion, and hope. I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel safe, heard, and supported, and my goal is to create that environment for every client I meet.
I have a special interest in working with couples, military families, and first responders. I am passionate about helping families strengthen their relationships, improve communication, and navigate life's challenges together. As someone pursuing a concentration in Military Family Therapy, I recognize the unique stressors military families and first responders often face, and I hope to provide care that is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each person's unique experiences. I have also completed Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), which has strengthened my ability to support individuals experiencing crisis while providing calm, compassionate care.
I believe therapy is not about having all the answers, but rather about creating a trusting relationship where healing and growth can happen. My hope is to meet clients exactly where they are, celebrate their strengths, and help them build the tools and confidence they need to become the healthiest version of themselves.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy getting lost in a good book, staying active through fitness, and spending time with my rescue dog, Valkyrie. I look forward to working with you!

Why did I become a therapist?
My passion for becoming a therapist began with my own life experiences. Growing up in a first responder and military family, I witnessed firsthand the emotional challenges, stress, and sacrifices that often accompany careers dedicated to serving others. I also saw how those experiences could affect not only the individual but the entire family. Those early experiences sparked a deep desire to better understand mental health and to help people navigate life's most difficult moments.
That passion led me to earn my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University, where I developed a strong foundation in understanding the brain, behavior, and the science behind mental health. As I continued my education and worked directly with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, I realized that my greatest fulfillment came from helping people feel heard, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change in their lives.
I have a special interest in trauma-informed care and hope to specialize in trauma-focused therapy and couples therapy. I believe that our relationships, experiences, and past hardships shape who we are, but they do not have to define our future. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, or simply feeling overwhelmed, my goal is to provide a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can feel safe exploring your experiences and working toward healing.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am most excited about working with all clients!
What will our first session look like?
Our first session will be about building a connection while working collaboratively to establish your goals for therapy.
How should I prepare for our first session?
There's no need to prepare anything special for your first session. Just come as you are. We'll spend time getting to know each other, discussing what brought you to therapy, and exploring your goals. Meeting a new therapist can be overwhelming, I want this to be a positive experience!
What will regular therapy sessions look like?
Each session is tailored to your unique needs and goals. We'll work together to explore challenges, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools that support your growth. Some sessions may focus on processing emotions or past experiences, while others may center on problem-solving, coping skills, or navigating current life situations. My goal is to provide a supportive, collaborative space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered.
How long does your average client work with you for?
The length of therapy is different for everyone and depends on your unique goals and needs. Some clients find that a few months is enough to work through a specific concern, while others choose to continue longer for ongoing support and personal growth. We'll regularly check in on your progress and work together to determine what feels most beneficial for you.
We look forward to hearing from you!
